Compared to the latest one, our head coach made two changes in the starting line-up on the night of the match against Paks, with Tallo replacing Lahne and Borello replacing Bjelos.
We started the game very unlucky, as in the 7th minute Windecker scored for Paks with a close range header from a corner kick, and less than a minute later Kádár's header was saved by Banai. It was quite a slap in the face for the boys, eventually they got into the rhythm of the game and started attacking, first Tallo got offside, then Boumal tried to score from 25 meters, but his powerful shot missed the goal by 2 meters. Tempers flared and in the 17th minute Onovo made Bálint Szabó fall, getting a yellow card as a "reward" from the referee. Windecker pushed Tallo at the baseline, as a result of which Csongi took a beautiful free kick in the 27th minute, which was saved by the goalkeeper of Paks brilliantly. A minute later Antonov got behind the ball for a foul committed by Szabó, but his shot missed the target. Until the halftime break we played with an inefficient dominance, we were pushing forward and threatening the opponent’s goal, but the ball went everywhere, over, past and even behind the goal, just not into the net.
At halftime, head coach of Paks Róbert Waltner had to make a forced substitution, Gergely Nagy was injured while blocking Csongvai's free kick, so Gergő Rácz came on and was standing on the goal line for the visiting team. On our side, Katona was replaced by Lahne.
It would be better not to talk about the beginning of the second part of the game, just forget about it... Pauljevic was sanctioned by VAR with a yellow card and a penalty kick for having made Szabó fall inside the box: the penalty was taken by Varga, and, as a consequence, in the 51st minute the scoreboard showed 0-2. Then came the total blackout for the home side, and 5 minutes later Kristóf Papp also hit the net. Our head coach Milos Kruscic tried to react to the situation with substitutions, Bjelos and Simon came on, Borello and Boumal came off, while Paks' manager brought Haraszti off, replacing him with Gyurkits. In the 65th minute we finally scored, after a corner kick Diaby headed in an unsaveable manner the first goal into the net of team Paks. As an answer to this, Paks also made a substitution, Bőle replaced Szabó.
Our newly signed striker Fernand Goure came on in the 74th minute, replacing Pauljevic, and in the 75th minute he scored his first goal (a header) in the Hungarian first division from his first touch of the ball!!! 2-3!!! Kevin Csoboth also made his debut in the last quarter of an hour, bringing some refreshment to the team. At this point the ball was bouncing almost exclusively in Paks' half and Goure almost scored a brace, but the goalpost came to “rescue” Rácz, who was already in a helpless position. The encounter got heated in the moments before the final whistle, there was another VAR review, this time on the other side and with a different outcome, and at the end we collected two more yellow cards, one for complaining and the other one for pretending to have been fouled: Csongvai was cautioned for arguing and Tallo for flopping. We couldn't score one more until the final whistle, so even though we were going all out for the finish, we ended round 5 without any points.
